A Legacy of Tradition, Fellowship and Recreation
Established over a century ago, the KGF Cosmopolitan Club has been an integral part of the social, sporting, and cultural life of Robertsonpet, Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). Housed in the historic King George Hall, the Club stands as a cherished institution that brings together tradition, fellowship, recreation, and community spirit.
The magnificent Victorian-style King George Hall was inaugurated and formally opened on 16 January 1915, to commemorate the Coronation Durbar held at Delhi in honour of Their Imperial Majesties, King George V and Queen Mary. More than a century later, this historic building continues to serve as the home of the KGF Cosmopolitan Club, preserving an important part of the heritage of Kolar Gold Fields.
Situated in the heart of Robertsonpet, the Club is set amidst lush gardens and expansive lawns, offering a serene and gracious environment for members and their families. The historic architecture, verdant surroundings, and welcoming atmosphere lend the Club a distinctive character, making it an ideal setting for relaxation, fellowship, and social interaction.
The Club provides a wide range of facilities for recreation and leisure, including a Main Hall, Card Room, Guest Rooms, and ample parking facilities. Its sporting infrastructure has also been enhanced with the addition of a spacious three-court, multi-layered synthetic shuttle badminton facility, providing a modern and well-appointed venue for badminton enthusiasts.
